A thyristor, also known as an SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier), is a type of high-power electrical component. It is also referred to as a silicon-controlled rectifier.
Thyristors are small in size, high in efficiency, and long-lasting. In automatic control systems, they can be used as high-power driving devices, enabling the control of high-power equipment with low-power components. Thyristors are widely used in AC and DC motor speed control systems, power regulation systems, and servo systems.
WAYON has developed and launched two types of conventional thyristor products for the market: unidirectional thyristors and bidirectional thyristors, as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1: WAYON Thyristor Product Classification
Currently, WAYON's thyristor product series includes 234 specifications, covering nearly 80% of the mainstream thyristor types in the market, meeting the diverse needs of customers.
Unidirectional Thyristors
A unidirectional thyristor is a four-layer, three-terminal semiconductor device with three electrodes: anode (A), cathode (K), and gate (G).

Bidirectional Thyristors
From the perspective of structure and characteristics, a bidirectional thyristor can be considered as an integration of two ordinary thyristors connected in anti-parallel. It is not distinguished by anode and cathode but by terminals T2, T1, or main terminals A2, A1.
